Dental Solutions Blackwood is Hiring a Registered Dental Assistant Near Blackwood, NJ

Overview:Dental Solutions is looking for a full-time Registered Dental Assistant for our office located in Blackwood, NJ 08012. The candidate we hire is required to have a at least 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant and must be x-ray certified in the state of New Jersey. Must be a team player with a compassionate attitude; self motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. We offer a competitive salary, plus benefits!!
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
  • Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and fulfilling requests.
  • Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments.
  • Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
  • Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to chew by fabricating temporary restorations, cleaning, and polishing removable appliances.
  • Assist the dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
  • Educate patients by providing oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Required Skills:

  • Must have an X-ray license for the state of NJ.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant.
  • EFDA certification is preferred.
