The Accounting Coordinator will support the financial operations of L.A. Insurance by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and process payroll in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Handle bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance accounting principles and regulations.
