CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment)
As a CLIA registered laboratory, ION Diagnostics compiles with the regulatory requirement and standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) agency of the Federal government.
ION Diagnostics is currently CAP accredited to accept specimens from many U.S. states. We are currently applying to several more highly regulated states for additional accreditations.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques and be familiar with Clinical terminology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a research laboratory setting.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct quality control tests on components, products, and procedures.
· Prepares all samples following written SOPs; Creates and submits batches on analytical instrumentation.
· Notify the manager or purchasing coordinator when supplies are low for re-order.
· Perform additional follow-up examinations, tests and analysis according to established laboratory procedures or as requested.
· Establishes or maintains a quality control program appropriate for the testing performed. Monitor quality control program(s) to ensure that acceptable levels of analytical performance are maintained for each test system.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in pipetting technique
- Experience with laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of quality control principles
- Understanding of Toxicology concepts
- Ability to work with laboratory information management systems
High Complexity – QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in lab science AND 1 years training or experience in the high complexity testing specialties performed
