Software Developer

Cogent Integrated Business Solutions, Inc. has an opening for the position of Software Developer (Ref# SD227MF) to work in Bingham Farms, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Responsible for the analysis, design, development, customization, and implementation of software applications using Salesforce.com technologies. Create logical systems using programming languages Apex, JavaScript, and SOQL. Provide deliveries of projects based on business scope using Salesforce.com in cloud computing. Analyze and translate business requirements to technical requirements and architecture. Work closely with the business to understand the needs and translate them into Salesforce.com customizations and programming. Provide resolution of troubleshooting of technical problems using Apex code and utilizing Salesforce.com best practices and references. Utilize migration tools provided by Salesforce.com such as SFDX to pull the code and metadata between different environments. Run unit tests into each cloud Salesforce.com environment until the production environment. Define and create algorithms using Apex and JavaScript. Suggest code enhancements along the application, share the suggestions with the IT team, and implement them as much as possible. Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) and migrate interfaces from classic to Lightning. Implement technical improvements and performance improvements on legacy resources in Salesforce. Improve features used in previous versions such as Visualforce pages for Lightning record pages and LWC. Build new independent and configurable features and decrease recording. Develop ERP system using Visual Basic supporting the business in system technologies. Maintain and provide solutions in terms of query performance. Maintain legacy Salesforce and migrate them to new features. Create a development pattern. Use of Salesforce, SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language), Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, YML, GitHub, C#, Visual Basic, SQL Server, and MS Azure. Travel and/or relocation required.

Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years in a related occupation including Salesforce Developer, Systems Specialist, Programmer Analyst, or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with Salesforce, Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). 40hrs/week.
