The Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Billings, MT

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Maintain accurate medical records of all patients
- Provide compassionate care to animals before, during, and after procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety and well-being

Qualifications:

- Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology Preferred
- Proficiency in animal care, including handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and husbandry practices
- Experience with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures
- Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Familiarity with companion animal care
- Experience in dog/cat handling or behavior training
