  • You will maintain constant observation of the control room Control System for condition of equipment and keep watch log, maintain hourly readings, and answer telephone calls from outlying building.
  • You will control the operation of four air compressor plants that supply compressed air.
  • You will make preliminary diagnosis of trouble symptoms and recommend action to correct or shut down equipment to power plant supervisor.
  • You will perform operational maintenance on mechanical equipment and may perform more extensive repairs during slack period, scheduled shut down or in emergencies.
  • You will high-pressure boilers in emergencies and when assigned.

  • 2) Making preliminary diagnosis of trouble symptoms to recommend action (e.g. correct issues, shut down equipment) to the power plant supervisor;
  • 3) Conducting checks of equipment (generators, boilers, air compressors, electrical distribution systems) by reviewing load demand records, examining dispatch of utilities orders, and observing conditions reflected on control computers;

4) Performing extensive repairs during slack periods and scheduled shut downs to avoid mechanical malfunctions.
