Job Summary
The Azure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's Azure cloud infrastructure. This role involves working closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services, cloud architecture, and a strong understanding of DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
Design and architect Azure cloud solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices.Create detailed architectural designs and documentation for Azure-based systems.Develop and implement strategies for cloud infrastructure, including security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
Implementation & Migration:
Lead the deployment of Azure services and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.Plan and execute the migration of existing on-premises systems to the Azure cloud.Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications with Azure services.
Management & Optimization:
Monitor and manage Azure resources, ensuring efficient utilization and cost management.Optimize cloud performance and scalability through tuning and resource management.Implement and enforce security policies and practices to protect cloud infrastructure.
DevOps & Automation:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide cloud solutions.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Documentation & Training:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and support staff.Develop and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5 years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a focus on Azure.Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Azure services, including Azure VMs, Azure SQL, Azure AD, Azure Functions, and Azure App Services.Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services (VNet, DNS, VPN, ExpressRoute).Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).Familiarity with automation and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, ARM, Terraform).
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).Experience with hybrid cloud environments.Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
