Job Description
Working family with a beautiful home and garden seeks kind, experienced Italian speaking nanny. Live in or live out. If live in, excellent accommodation provided on the premises. Nanny for the summer.
Family can provide a car, which nanny can also use during her time off - if live in. Schedule is flexible (we can work around nanny’s changing schedule if necessary).
Hoping for a long-term working relationship.
G 8y is a healthy, positive child with lots of curiosity. She is trilingual in Spanish, Italian and English. Other G 3y.
90% of time spent with only 1 child at a time. They wish to ensure each child receives dedicated attention and nurturing.
The family is keen to continue the children's learning of Italian.
Curiosity and learning are big parts of the family culture; a focus on social / emotional intelligence. We hope the nanny is interested in learning about child development (if not already skilled in this) and can collaboratively develop age-appropriate daily practices.
A nanny who is calm and mature is a big plus. Looking for someone who speaks Italian fluently, without an accent.
The limited household duties include : child’s laundry, dishes, grocery shopping and errands. A bility to drive is important, though not absolutely essential.
Life will be more fun for nanny and for children if you can drive.
Family is very happy to receive applications from fluent Italian speakers already based in the USA, but also keen to receive applications from fluent Italian speakers located in Europe.
Parents both work full time. Both are kind, fair and friendly. The household is well run and structured and they find a schedule is helpful.
The parents are very well educated and a nanny who shares a love for education and learning will enjoy working here.
They are looking for an experienced nanny who is looking for an adventure and would be keen to live in the USA. Their house and gardens are beautiful.
They are close to Washington DC and also not far from the coast. Nanny will have plenty of time to explore and get involved in American life.
The family is NOT looking for an au pair, but a skilled, experienced, mature nanny to help on the education and Italian learning side of nanny / nanny-educator
Requirements
Must be fluent Italian speaker.
Up to date Clean criminal background check
Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
Good references for recent and relevant nanny work
Be able to engage in play with the children and floor level for extended periods of time and get up from the floor quickly.
Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
Please note that a high degree of discretion is required in this role.
