Description
Position Summary:
The Project Manager (Industrial Hygiene) is responsible for managing a team of Industrial Hygienists on projects pertaining to areas such as, but not limited to, sampling, monitoring, investigating, and/or measuring conditions for the presence of hazards, such as lead, asbestos, mold, and drinking water contaminants. This role spends most of the time in an office setting, and at times will perform site visits and may need to perform hands-on field work in certain instances. In addition to directly administering projects, the Project Manager is also responsible for developing relationships with prospective customers, managing client relations, creating and submitting proposals, and managing profitability of proposed work.
Schedule: Core work hours are first shift, and evening availability is recurringly needed to assist team members in the field working second shift.
This role requires the use of a personal vehicle for transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Subject Matter Expertise
o Maintains senior-level knowledge of industrial hygiene best practices
o Maintains knowledge of equipment, sampling techniques, and relevant regulations
o Translates client needs into actionable steps that can be delegated to technical and administrative staff
• Project Administration
o Manages project timelines and profitability
o Schedules and assigns Criterion team members in support of managed projects
o Addresses questions and/or issues that arise during the course of work from team members and/or customers
o Draws actionable information from analytical results corresponding to samples gathered in the field
o Creates or oversees the drafting of final project deliverables and closes out projects per internal guidelines
• Team Management:
o Supervises a team of Industrial Hygienists and manages discussions regarding pay and performance
o Takes an active role in each team member’s professional development
o Reviews and approves employee timesheets and expenses
• Business Development and Customer Management
o Develops relationships with prospective customers and submits proposals
o Manages relationships with larger customers and communicates about opportunities for additional support
• Additional Responsibilities
o May teach asbestos, lead, and mold training courses

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
