About The Position

Every project starts as an idea, and a project manager’s job is to work with product leadership and stakeholders to help define how that idea becomes a useful and valuable software product. At AccuLynx, project managers manage the process that brings our software products to market. Project managers work to set and manage expectations, develop detailed project plans, define project scope, and create user stories to describe the work that enables project team members to bring the project to realization. 

Successful project managers at Acculynx manage the tasks and projects our software teams work on, helping create clear objectives that result in a clear understanding of objectives and helping create high-performing teams. If the team needs guidance, training, or coaching, a project manager must set them up for success. In addition, a project manager must be able to keep open and honest communication, form working relationships, and motivate those on their team who need it.

Ideal candidates will have experience managing software projects and working and strong communication, solid work plan development, and progress oversight skills. They will define opportunities and manage a backlog of work, create user stories, and develop and present progress updates to product leadership regularly, ensuring the products we plan to deliver are progressing as planned.

In this role, you will:

  • Help develop, improve, and continuously release desktop and mobile SaaS products.
  • Work with product leadership to define project focus and objectives.
  • Develop and document business and functional requirements 
  • Understand and prioritize work within our agile process, manage team alignment 
  • Collaborate with software engineers and designers, help drive development,from product definition through launch.

The project manager position is hybrid, reporting to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to develop ideas and validate those with customers.
  • Identify and break down necessary work to organize ideas into stages with timelines.and forecasted releases.
  • Create and manage user stories and acceptance criteria 
  • Monitor and report progress, ensure project/product release meets defined expectations. 
  • Manage project risk and “unblock” team when necessary.
  • Communicate project/product status to product leadership and across the organization.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to make progress.
  • Serve as a point of contact for a team.
  • Perform quality control on the product throughout development to maintain expected standards.
  • Be a strong presenter of ideas and represent your team by presenting work to the business.
  • Adjust schedules and targets as necessary, manage change, and report progress.
  • Set project release dates.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4 Yrs of Project management, in addition experience managing teams within a SaaS product, software company, or start-up preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or certification in Project Management preferred.
  • Project management experience; you have a demonstrated track record of multi-tasking and coordinating efforts on simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of risk management and contingency planning.
  • You’re a structured thinker and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with agile development teams and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for precisely communicating operational challenges and potential solutions.
  • The ability to turn partial, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
  •  “Organized” and “disciplined” are some of the top adjectives people use to describe you.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and new challenges excite you.
