Responsibilities:

• Compliance: Oversee, monitor, and assess safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, DOT regulations, and company guidelines.
• Analysis: Leverage data to identify at-risk behavior trends, target actions, and communications specific to mitigating identified risks.
• Innovation: Research and develop innovative programs for screening and training new drivers, track program success, and report on employee performance.
• Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into all accidents/injuries to assess current operational practices and institute necessary changes to prevent future incidents.
• Review: Conduct Accident/Injury investigations and reviews.
• Training: Coordinate, administer, and enforce a comprehensive safety training program to promote safe behaviors.
• Audits: Schedule safety team to conduct annual DOT safety audits at each division, identifying risks and implementing corrective measures.
• Implementation: Ensure the success of safety audits and implementation of new best practices.
• Reporting: Track and report all safety incidents and DOT violations, promptly communicating required actions to the team.
• Adaptability: Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Safety department at a DOT regulated transportation company.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Control of Drivers Orientation process.
• Follow-up and training for new and current drivers.
• Claim Investigations and Claim Control.
• Drivers screening, hiring, and DQ files maintenance.
• Maintenance of documents required by DOT.
• Registrations, permits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
