Arts Development School of Music is a small business in

The ADSM Staff are professional and agile, and each teacher aims to inspire confidence in our students' artistic and musical goals.

DUTIES (applying for your particular significant concentration)

  • Provide your significant concentration of skill. Either in piano or voice AND/OR guitar/instrumental lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
  • Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals and abilities
  • Teach your concentration skills either in proper piano, voice, guitar/instrumental lessons technique, music theory, and sight-reading skills
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and exams

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience teaching your concentration skill, be it in piano, voice, AND/OR guitar/instrumental lessons to children and adults.
  • Experience working with students of varying skill levels
  • Strong knowledge of piano repertoire and teaching methods
  • Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Familiarity with music theory and sight-reading techniques

SKILLS

  • Childcare experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with children (preferred)
  • Lesson planning and curriculum development
  • Tutoring or teaching experience
  • Knowledge of the concentration skill you are applying for.
  • Understanding of childhood development principles

We seek a dedicated and passionate teacher and performers who can demonstrate their skills through their major field of concentration (such as piano, voice, AND/OR guitar/instrumental lessons) to join our team.

As a piano, voice, AND/OR guitar/instrumental lessons teacher, you can share your love for music and inspire students to develop their musical talents. This is a rewarding position that allows you to make a positive impact on your students' lives.

JOB TYPE

  • Contractual Part Time (Start from 30-mins through 30 hours per week)

SALARY

  • Starts from $18 - $35 per hour (Dependent on Experience/Recommendation and School Achievement)

EXPECTED HOURS

  • Starting at 30 minutes and accumulating up to 10 or more hours per week.

SCHEDULE Choose your hours

  • After School (2:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
  • Monday to Friday (2:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
  • Weekends as needed (1:00 - 6:00 PM)

WORK SETTING

  • In-person
  • Private school setting in a commercial venue.
  • Ability to relocate or must be within 15 miles of the site:

WORK LOCATION In-person only

  • Bellflower, CA 90706: Presently, hiring availability is on reserve status
  • Torrance, CA 90505: Presently, hiring and availability will be in Fall 2024

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
