Job Description
The Supervisor of Food Service will train and supervisor warehouse employees and Food Service drivers. Duties include, or pertain to, positive interaction with the public, organizing and planning daily work, maintenance of records or files pertinent to the tasks assigned, overseeing ordering/receiving, and some independent decision making. The Supervisor should be capable of fulfilling his/her responsibilities with a minimum of supervision and manage food service staff and equipment in a professional manner.
EXPERIENCE SUGGESTED: The person holding this position should possess knowledge and experience in Nutrition Services, food production, meal services, equipment use, food service, and personnel management. Experience in menu planning, food service equipment, federal and state laws, food service laws, personnel management, food service sanitation and safety procedures preferred; safety is essential.
CONTRACT PERIOD: 12 Months
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Dietitian training preferred
Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
