CLINICAL ASSISTANT (unlicensed)

Weare looking for the right person to partner with our nurses to implement the day-to-daynursing activities for our assisted living and memory care residents. This includes interacting with our residents,their families and medical providers, and our caregivers and medication assistants. Highgate Senior Living's mission is to devoteourselves to help each resident live a life of purpose and each of us plays acrucial role in doing so. We operate communities in the western US and areseeking the right Clinical Assistant to join our team. For this full-time position, we are seeking acaring, detail-oriented individual to work with us as we seek to providequality care in an environment that promotes a sense of well-being and the feelingof true community.

Thesuccessful candidate will be an organized and driven individual with a positiveand self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication and criticalthinking abilities. Excellent time management skills are important along withrelationship building, persistence, flexibility, and adaptability.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Ability to positively interact with pharmacies, medical providers, residents and families
• Able to create partnership relationships with the clinical and care teams
• Excellent customer service skills to respond to resident, family, and medical provider requests and concerns
• Demonstrated ability provide effective training for both 1:1 and small groups
• Calm, levelheaded demeanor to assist during medical emergencies or incidents
• Excellent verbal and written communication that is factual, based on observation and not subjective
• Office and computer skills including MS Office suite, EMAR, filing, organizing
• Ability to successfully complete a medication pass or quickly learn how to do so
• Ability to learn software that is necessary for the role
• A heart for service and compassion for elder adults
• Familiarity with healthcare documentation and charting systems

QUALIFICATIONS

1) Atleast 21 years of age

2) Currentnegative TB test

3) Abilityto pass criminal record/background check

4) Possessor be able to obtain the required credentialing (AZ – CCG)

5) Beefficient and exercise good time management skills

6) Self-starterwith a focus on attention to detail

7) Excellentverbal and written communication skills

8) Desireto work with vulnerable populations

Our compensation package will be flexible forthis role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidatebrings for consideration. The hourlywage range for this position will be $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. Prior experience in caring for seniors orother specialty population groups is preferred.
