RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general supervision of the Team Manager, the Distribution Technician is responsible for:
Picking/packing/staging of all customer orders in a timely (measured through Labor Management System – LMS) and accurate manner while operating material handling equipment (motorized pallet jack).
Operating a variety of material handling equipment including standup reach type equipment and/or sit down fork trucks and a variety of industrial equipment including push-off machines, wrappers, pallet dispensers and pallet flippers.
Accurate data input and documentation.
General warehouse duties including put-aways, line replenishment, wrapping, loading and unloading.
Actively participating in team meetings and special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Material handling equipment or heavy industrial equipment experience
Accurate clerical and numerical skills, ability to read, interpret and follow complex procedures
Ability to successfully learn to operate a variety of equipment to include a motorized pallet jack and battery charging system
Ability to work in an environment where performance against specific standards is constantly measured
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work overtime frequently or on short notice
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a continuous basis
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalency
Minimum of 2 years experience in order selection, warehousing, or inventory
PC experience, SAP knowledge
