Job Description

MyJEC.net is growing and is looking for an additional Internet Installer to help us meet customer demand for service. We provide internet to our customers in Jackson and Matagorda counties and the surrounding areas.

We offer competitive hourly pay and benefits package, including paid holidays, vacations and sick leave, medical, dental, and 401k & retirement plan. This position also includes use of a company vehicle during business hours and periods of on-call and company-provided uniforms.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

· Performance of site surveys for prospective customers

· Installation of wireless and fiber internet equipment on customer premises

· Proper related record-keeping

· Customer trouble-calls including Interfacing with level-2 IT-staff

· Maintaining inventory of equipment

· Programming of radios, routers and related equipment

· Overtime may be required from time to time, based on customer need

· There are some on-call requirements. This is currently Saturdays and Sundays 8AM-5PM only and is on a rotational basis among the technicians.

The successful candidate should possess the following traits:

· One year or more experience in wireless internet, wired internet, cable, or satellite installation

· High school diploma or higher education

· Comfortable with heights. Able to climb ladders to work on roofs and/or operate a bucket truck

· Flexibility to learn new technologies

· Able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions

· Have an excellent work ethic

· Able to work independently and with a team

· Able to effectively and efficiently organize work

· Have strong customer service skills

· Possess router configuration experience

· Adheres to company policies & procedures, including all safety procedures

· Knowledge of proper use of basic hand tools

· Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

· Ability to lift & carry items up to 50 Lbs.

· Be fluent in English

· Possess basic troubleshooting skills

· Maintain equipment inventory

· Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

The following qualities are desired, but not required:

· Experience with Cambium P2P and P2MP microwave links

· Fluent in Spanish

· Tower climbing experience and/or certification

· Fiber experience

· CDL Class-B with airbrakes
