We're looking for a full-time Fiberoptic Installation & Troubleshooting Technician to join our Marion County team! This position is full-time and reports to the South Pittsburg, TN office.

Must be willing to work call.

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of duties including but not limited to secondary splicing and maintenance, completing trouble tickets for both residential and business customers, and running service drops. Must be willing to help promote hosted services to local business customers. Assist with the outside plant as needed. Reports to the Manager of Ancillary Services.

Responsibilities:

• Secondary splicing and maintenance
• Completing trouble tickets for business and residential customers
• Perform business customer installations
• Running service drops
• Promote hosted services to local business customers
• Educating customers on the products offered and how they work
• Assist with outside plant construction
• Works well as a team player

Requirements:

• Must have good communication skills and be comfortable interacting with customers and staff daily;
• Understand fiber optic networks and optical design;
• Ability to read and interpret maps, circuit diagrams, and technical documents:
• Must have experience with cable and data wiring installations, terminations, and troubleshooting;
• Should be proficient with Windows and Apple computers;
• Must have basic understanding of electrical and electronic concepts;
• Must have fiber splicing knowledge;
• Must be able to handle mechanical and electric power tools while following safety procedures;
• Ability to work overtime, when required;
• Preferred to live in the Marion County service area or be willing to relocate to the Marion service area
