Job Responsibilities
Weld Audits
o Audit structural and A surface welds 2x per day, every weld line.
o Correct and coach as needed, welders and leads.
o Communicate with QC inspectors to solve any weld issues coming through finish.
Welding Equipment
o Verify welder settings per standard.
o Check gas mixes are to standard.
o Troubleshoot welding equipment issues.
o Knowledge of welder power supply.
o Check consumables are installed correctly
o Verify there are no bare grounds or damaged leads and guns
Other
o Review and verify prints / weld maps
o Weld integrity testing
o Audit Weld PPE
o Audit Proper Body and Hand Placement
