Electrical Engineer II Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
- A minimum of 2 years working with T&D (transmission & distribution) utility is preferred.
- Experience with PC based software, including CYME, and GIS preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
- Review solar developer documents for completeness and updated documents for changes.
- Utilize CYME and GIS software for Distribution Project screening.
- Work with various consulting firms to initiate and review DG project studies that are required for interconnection.
- Work with the rest of the DG team within Asset Management as well as other departments.
- Preliminary Engineering design and creation of project estimates that are formulated based on the study results.
- Review project estimates and scope documents with Solar developers.
- Maintain project documents throughout the study process.
- Develop short term capital projects for reliability improvement. This will include project development, scope, justification, and priority setting.
- Work with the rest of the Asset Management group on overall capital prioritization of each year’s plan.
- Usual work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Extra hours are required.
- Salary in the range of $90,000 - $100,000
