Electrical Engineer II Qualifications
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
  • A minimum of 2 years working with T&D (transmission & distribution) utility is preferred.
  • Experience with PC based software, including CYME, and GIS preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
Electrical Engineer II Responsibilities
  • Review solar developer documents for completeness and updated documents for changes.
  • Utilize CYME and GIS software for Distribution Project screening.
  • Work with various consulting firms to initiate and review DG project studies that are required for interconnection.
  • Work with the rest of the DG team within Asset Management as well as other departments.
  • Preliminary Engineering design and creation of project estimates that are formulated based on the study results.
  • Review project estimates and scope documents with Solar developers.
  • Maintain project documents throughout the study process.
  • Develop short term capital projects for reliability improvement. This will include project development, scope, justification, and priority setting.
  • Work with the rest of the Asset Management group on overall capital prioritization of each year’s plan.
  • Usual work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Extra hours are required.
Electrical Engineer II Benefits
  • Salary in the range of $90,000 - $100,000
  • Annual Bonus Program
  • Flexible Hybrid Work Schedule (need to be in office 1-2 days a week-may vary depending on work requirements)
