Labor and Employment Attorney - Full-time
Location: Baltimore, MD
Required Qualifications:
Portable book of business ($75K ).
Minimum 10 years of experience in Labor and Employment Law representing management.
Must be barred in MD, other jurisdictions a plus such as DC, VA, and PA.
Experience primarily in the private sector.
Experience with defense work, handling the employer side and not plaintiff work.
Jury trial experience in federal and state courts.
Experience as a non-equity principal or counsel.
Job Description
What you will be doing:
Provide expert legal advice to employers on employment laws, regulations, and compliance issues.
Handle employment-related discrimination claims, wrongful termination, compliance issues, management labor issues, affirmative action obligations, draft affirmative action plans, wage and hour matters, OSHA/MOSH actions, Title VII matters, and related federal, state, and local employment matters.
Lead negotiations and mediations as well as represent client employment interests in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration proceedings.
Serve as an advocate for clients, offering clear and concise legal guidance.
Maintain active communication with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
Advise clients on labor relations matters including occasional union negotiations and labor disputes.
Have a working knowledge of NLRB rules and regulations.
