Principal Software Engineer Opportunity

The Opportunity:

You will be joining a highly collaborative agile development team responsible for building, extending, monitoring, and maintaining our flagship IMOS Platform for maritime commerce management. A great chance to work withengineers at all experience levels with diverse backgrounds, while providing opportunities to exercise your talents by participating in all facets of software development.

A closer look at the role:

This role will provide opportunities to get your hands on various tasks/technologies such as:

• Design, develop, and support scalable SaaS applications
• Gain knowledge of the complex business requirements and needs of the maritime shipping industry
• Work with Product Management to gather/translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Write high quality,testable code to design, develop and support our existing backend services and front-end code
• Help guide architectural decisions to meet the evolving needs of our platform
• Assist your team members through mentoring, code reviews and pair programming

Skills/Experience needed to be successful in this role:

• 7 years of experience as a software engineer
• 5 years of experience with C
• Experience in developing complex backend services using object-orienteddesign
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational database systems
• Experience creating and contributing to architecture design and documentation
• Ability to work in agile development framework and communicate with stakeholders in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice skills to have (not required):

• Experience accounting principles, financial industry, or maritime shipping industry
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
