Job Title: Program Coordinator

Job Description:
As a Student Engagement Specialist at College Prep Alabama, you will play a crucial role in guiding middle and high school students on the path to college. We are seeking a self-starter with a proven track record of supporting students in their academic journey. In this hybrid role, you will engage directly with students in diverse academic environments, including ACT boot camps, college advising classes, and workshops. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to set and monitor progress toward goals independently, ensuring impactful contributions to our mission to support students pursuing higher education opportunities. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct Student Support (70%)
Curriculum Development: Internalize and adapt engaging and effective curriculum materials for ACT boot camps, college advising classes, and workshops, tailored to the needs of high school students.
Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in various educational settings, fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.
Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
Relationship-Building (20%)
Program Implementation: Develop and maintain strong relationships with school administrators and staff.
Student Needs: In all settings, create strong relationships with students to better tailor instruction to their needs.
Program Planning and Operations (10%)
Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate records, track program outcomes, and assist with administrative tasks related to program implementation.
Work Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative in addressing challenges and achieving program goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma and completed at least two years of undergraduate education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
At least one year of experience working with groups of middle or high school students in an academic or extracurricular setting
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students
Experience with standardized test preparation (ACT/SAT)
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Additional relevant experience (preferred, not required):
Familiarity with college admissions process
