About Hazelnut Growers of Oregon

Why Hazelnut Growers of Oregon? Hazelnut Growers of Oregon (HGO) is the quality leader for hazelnut processing and production in the United States. Buying from HGO means buying direct from hundreds of family farms who deliver their harvested crop to their cooperative-owned facility. From hazelnuts core variations (i.e., In-shell, natural or roasted hazelnut kernels), the cooperative is able to process and sell a multitude of nut formats and applications such as diced, sliced, seasoned, butter/paste, and even nut-flour meal. These formats are often utilized by other food manufactures and indust ... ry chefs as a premium ingredient that supports the dairy, snack, candy, and baking categories. With quality comes quantity, and HGO is well positioned to supply their superior hazelnut products in a wide variety of package sizes: from half ounce pillow pouches to full one-ton super sacks. This means HGO is one of the few processors who can supply all global classes of trade: Retail, Foodservice and Industrial Ingredients. Creating value-added products from Oregons proud hazelnut agricultural community is central to HGOs mission. This is best demonstrated through their Oregon Orchard retail brand. With dozens of new products finding their way into local grocery stores and online, hazelnut farmers are getting their products featured with grocery consumers in ways they previously never experienced.
