Spectrum Generation’s Facilities Director is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older and disabled adults in our community by ensuring our agency's facilities are problem free, safe, and well maintained.

The ideal candidate will be well organized, familiar with facility operations such as budgeting, contracting, project management, and experienced with general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing practices.

This position is based out of Augusta, Maine, but the ability to travel to nearby facilities is required.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Responsible for the physical plant and building operations of three (3) Spectrum Generations’ owned facilities and is principal liaison on maintenance concerns with property managers/landlords for facilities/offices which the agency is a tenant.
• Responsible for overseeing compliance with building codes, capital improvements and related purchases, HVAC and plumbing systems, fire & safety inspections and routine repair and planned maintenance of all buildings, grounds and company owned vehicles.
• Provides hands on support and supervision for the Maintenance Staff, by physically assisting and providing instruction for facility related tasks.

Education/Training/Experience:

• High school graduate with some advanced education in building trades.
• Five years of management or supervisory experience providing building maintenance for large residential/commercial buildings.
• Ability to assess and prioritize the needs of multiple facilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage mid to large-sized projects from start to finish.
• Ability to create and maintain electronic file systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Email.
• Licensed professional desired, but not required.
• Must posses a valid Maine drivers license and have a clean driving record.

Pay: $65,000-$70,000/Annual Salary

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Physical exertion is required to lift moderately heavy items and equipment from 20-80 lbs. Duties may require long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing ladders and maneuvering within tight spaces.
