Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons and hands-on activities for introductory computer science classes, ensuring alignment with New York State standards and curriculum requirements.
- Design and implement a cybersecurity curriculum, covering topics such as data security, network security, cryptography, and ethical hacking.
- Prepare students for the AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A exams.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate and succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate computer science concepts across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to guide student growth and development.
- Participate in department meetings, school-wide initiatives, and extracurricular activities as needed to support the overall mission and goals of the school.
