Job Description
Central Coast Pet Emergency located in Arroyo Grande, CA is adding veterinary professionals to our team! If you are a credentialed Veterinary Technician or an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we would love to talk to you!
Our hospital is San Luis Obispo County’s finest 24/7 Emergency Hospital and is equipped to provide the best intensive, emergent, and urgent care for our patients when their primary care veterinarian is not available.

Our team of Doctors and technicians enjoy having the opportunity to teach, mentor, and guide. In addition,our technicians are highly leveraged – you are definitely utilizing your knowledge & skills learned in school or over the course of your career.
About You:
You must have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):
o Venipuncture
o Placing IV Catheters
o Drug Calculations
o Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)
o Monitoring Anesthetic Procedures
o Taking Vitals
o Gathering Medical History
Available Schedules:
- Full-time days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
- Full-time afternoon/evenings: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
- Flexible part-time opportunities also exist
Compensation: Based on background, knowledge, and skillset
- RVT: $27 – $35/ hour
- Non-Credentialed Technician/Veterinary Assistant: $20 - $27/ hour
