We are seeking a full time Wireless Communications Engineer who will be an integral part of our growing team contributing expertise in Signal Processing, Software Radio, and in particular 3GPP wireless systems to design, develop, and integrate groundbreaking 5G/6G capabilities for a variety of customer hardware platforms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic environment while leveraging our ML team to integrate intelligence and adaptability into our 5G offerings. The ideal candidate will have considerable expertise with the technical aspects of the 3GPP specifications, including the implementation and design of mathematically optimal receivers, as well as a strong knowledge of the current state of the art of existing and near-future RAN implementations.

Some of What You ll be Doing:

• Help optimize machine-learning enhanced 5G receiver technology by identifying novel ways to prepare objective functions based on non-linear implementations for massive MIMO systems
• Stay updated with current and future 3GPP specifications, study items, and work items
• Drive the roadmap of future development by identifying key areas where non-linear, ML-enhanced solutions will have the most impact
• Design and implement reference receivers, reference signals, simulated transmitters, channel conditions, and combined scenarios to improve the training and validation of our 5G capabilities
• Collaborate with the ML-design team to ensure solutions are efficiently implemented and scalable

What We Need to See:

• Master s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years experience in 3GPP transmitter and receiver design and implementation
• Strong proficiency in MATLAB with a focus on signal processing, communication, and 5G toolboxes
• Familiarity with Python, and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch preferred
• Deep understanding of 3GPP specifications covering LTE through 5G, with awareness of Rel 18 and 19 activities and 6G developments
• Proficiency in using simulation tools to model and analyze the performance of wireless communications systems, including link-level and system level simulations
• Ability and desire to work in a flexible, fast-paced, and dynamic startup environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong organization and communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, partners, and customers
