AM LLC is seeking a UI Developer candidate to support our Veterans Affairs client. 

The UI Developer is responsible for participating in the full agile development life cycle to support the overall project.

Strong preference is for those candidates with UI development experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal agency.

In addition, this role will require 1 week per month onsite in the Arlington, VA office, so it is required that all candidates currently live within a 60-mile radius of this location. Over time, this role will eventually be onsite only, but that timeframe has not yet been determined.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The UI Developer will deliver innovative solutions that help our federal clients improve the services they provide to the American public. You explore how new technologies can be applied to solve challenging business problems. You thrive in a collaborative, creative and productive team environment.

Duties will include, but not be limited to: 

• Performing detailed design, identify reusable components, configure, build, and test app and/or tech arch components
• Analyzing technical needs, developing, and debugging code with design objectives.
• Fixing defects found during testing
• Reviewing and integrate all app requirements (functional, security, performance)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• US citizenship or Green Card holder required to obtain a federal security clearance to support this Veterans Affairs program.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
• 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
• Minimum of 5 years of UI development experience.
• Required skills include:

- Angular 10 development

- Experience in web, mobile web apps and PWA

- Hybrid web apps a plus (PhoneGap/Ionic)

- Typescript

- CSS/SASS

- Bootstrap

- JavaScript

- Angular integration with Rest Services

- 508 compliance

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Critical thinking, sound judgment, and adaptability required

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

• An active PIV card from the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Experience working in a SQL development and data design environment supporting federal clients

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace for Home Office work. 
• User-provided home high-speed network connection

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
• This position requires the use of a computer screen for extensive periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) most of the time.

• Answering phone/making calls
• Participating in meetings and client-facing meetings in person or on camera

The salary range for this role is $100,995.20 - $107,182.40. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, business need, and location.
