Milling Machine Operator 2nd Shift - Arden - Up to $20

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Milling Machine Operator for 2nd Shift - for a manufacturing company located in Arden .

Duties and Responsibilities :

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;

interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

• Able to do offset, compensations, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Maintains specifications by observing milling operations; taking measurements;

detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation.
• A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze.
• Confidence to approach supervisor with suggestions to changes to processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience in a related field preferred
• High School or GED preferred
• The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and climb or balance.

Hours of Work : 1st Shift - 5 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm & 2

Shift Monday to Thursday - 3 : 00 pm to 1 : 30 am

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $17.50 - $20.00 Per Hour
