Position: Community Relations Coordinator (CRC)

Salary Range: $20.94 to $31.41

Summary: This position will be responsible and accountable for building long-term relationships with Foothill's existing and potential members. This includes but is not limited to relationships with our community, partnerships, chambers, and Select Employer Groups (SEG) that include engaging members in financial literacy, helping drive growth, and pursuing new partnerships and sponsorships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) supports the credit union's core values by displaying the highest level of integrity and honesty and is passionate about communicating and promoting our short and long-term vision and goals.

  • Coordinate Bite of Reality events, including scheduling, coordinating volunteers and materials
  • Work with Business Development Lead and marketing team to create necessary marketing pieces and promotions for Bite of Reality
  • Coordinates and plans seminars and financial literacy events with SEG partners and community outlets
  • Schedule Foothill team members as guest speakers for Chamber events with a focus on financial literacy topics
  • Help manage the Financial Well-Being Center, which includes the It's a Money Thing and Everfi modules and playlists, including pulling necessary data reports for monthly updates
  • Work with teachers at school SEGs to implement the EverFi At School program and continually maintain relationships to engage with students and participants. Generate new ideas and engagement tools to promote and increase Foothill's financial literacy options.
  • Provide members and SEG feedback for new seminars, educational events, and promotions. Develop and maintain events to engage with the community, including coordinating sponsorships.
  • Build and maintain a Foothill volunteer program that supports community and SEG events.
  • Be a backup to our Business Development Consultants for on-site and events.
  • Have a complete understanding of all credit union products and services.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • · High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred or equivalent combined education and work experience of at least three years.
  • · Minimum of three years of related experience in a financial institution (Credit Union preferred)
  • · Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing community outreach activities or similar preferred
  • · Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products within six months

  • · Able to confidentially maintain all credit union members' and team members' information.
  • · Maintain a working knowledge of policies, procedures, agreements, and laws to perform job duties effectively.
  • · Ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and efficiently handle various tasks in a busy and dynamic work environment.
  • · Ability to work with diverse personalities and populations.
  • · A valid California Class C Driver's License, a method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions, and at least minimum automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California
