PERSONNEL & STATIONS
Within the department of 114 fire personnel across 6 fire stations, fire personnel are assigned to 1 of 3 shifts that work 24-hour rotations. Each shift is comprised of 34 personnel that provide 24/7/365 emergency response. The Fire Department’s Administrative staff works a 40-hour week and is comprised of the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief of Operations, Assistant Chief of Support Services, Assistant Chief of Professional Standards, Administrative Logistics Coordinator, Program Support Specialist, and two Training Coordinators. Additionally, the department’s Risk Reduction Division is comprised of the Fire Marshal, Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Inspector, and a Community Risk Reduction Coordinator.

Written Test & Agility Test: September 29 & 30, 2023 – Location & Times to be determined. 2 sessions
each day. 9am written test then move to agility test as each person finishes written test. 1pm written test then move to agility test as each person finishes written test.
Panel Interview Notification: October 3, 2023 by 5pm EST.
Panel Interviews: October 9 - 11, 2023 – Time and location to be determined.
Notification for In Person Chief’s Interviews: October 13, 2023 by 5pm EST.
Chief’s Panel Interviews: October 19 & 20, 2023 – Location & times to be determined
Conditional Job Offers: October 27, 2023 by 5pm EST.
Department Physicals: TBD– Tentatively to be held at an Apex Fire Department
