We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join in supporting a prestigious government project. The ideal candidate will be involved in analyzing and characterizing large datasets, creating insightful data visualizations, and identifying patterns indicative of abnormal or noteworthy behavior. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and interesting behavior.

• Develop and implement algorithms in cloud environments, contributing to advancing our analytical capabilities.

• Collaborate with a team to design and create data visualizations that convey findings.

• Engage in cyber domain analysis and discovery operations, leveraging data to support security measures.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.

• Experience with analytic development within the Linux environment.

• Familiarity with DataFrames using Pandas or Spark.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of PySpark and distributed computing.

• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science).

• Five years of experience in dataset analysis and analytics development.

• Five years of programming experience with data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, MATLAB).

• Additional experience in software development, cloud development, dataset analysis, or developing analytics may substitute for the Master's degree requirement.

• A Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline may substitute for three years of experience.
