Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Reports To: Project Manager

Summary:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a minimum of ten years of experience in the following positions: Project Superintendant, QC manager, Project ManagerProject Engineer or Construction Manager, with at least two years of experience as a QC Manager. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1, and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Have completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors" and maintain a current certificate. The QC Manager who does not have a current certification must obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification. This course is periodically offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Approve or reject materials and workmanship
  • Monitor the progress of projects and identify potential problems early on
  • Train and supervise quality control personnel
  • Communicate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other stakeholders on quality matters

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with at least two years experience as a QC Manager
  • Familiarity with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1
  • Experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
  • Familiarity with construction management software
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

Additional Preference:

  • Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science. -Not Required.
