We are currently hiring for our Ames office!
Who are we?Central Iowa Psychological Services (CIPS) is an outpatient multidisciplinary group practice with office locations in Des Moines, Ames, and Ankeny. We provide general psychotherapy and psychological testing services, medication management services, interventional psychiatric services such as Spravato and TMS, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Services in conjunction with MAT services.

What’s your day to day look like?
  • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations to include intake assessments as well as follow-up assessments.
  • Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient and patient’s families
  • Prescribe medications when necessary
  • Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Make referrals to specialists as appropriate
  • Provide services at community partnership locations
  • Other duties as assigned
What experience and qualification are we looking for?
  • Must possess an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa
  • Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in Iowa
  • Must have a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Eligible for paneling on all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare
  • Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required
  • Must be comfortable with across the lifespan cases
