Opportunity

BrainStorm is currently seeking a Data Engineer to help build and drive the overall data, collecting, processing and analytics infrastructure and strategy for BrainStorm. The Data Engineer will help build, design, and drive the data, strategies, processes, and modeling for all aspects of the business, including Finance, Marketing, Operations, and more. BrainStorm takes pride in delivering industry-leading learning experiences for our clients, and the Data Engineer will be instrumental in helping BrainStorm drive more success for our customers through data and analytics. Along with helping current and prospective clients, the Data Engineer will help to drive the monetization of the data being collected, stored, and analyzed at BrainStorm.

Responsibilities

  • Be active and involved with the business to design and build new data solutions that correspond to the business and data strategies 
  • Develop a variety of data workflows, pipelines, and ETL processes using BrainStorm tools and products 
  • Create new datasets and processes to power our different systems, run models, empower analytics, or to be used in our visualization tools, like Microsoft PowerBI 
  • Help develop data quality and governance strategies and automations, aligned to the business and data strategies, to ensure the accuracy and quality of the data 
  • Build and maintain data that support our Sales, Customer Success, Strategic Partners, and Channel Partners 
  • Partner with our Sales and Customer Success teams to understand their business goals (Power 10 inside BrainStorm) and help design and iterate on the BrainStorm Data and Analytic Strategy to empower and help these goals reach success 
  • Appropriately prioritize incoming and existing requests to ensure alignment across teams, with the ability to execute and reach desired and agreed upon deadlines
Must Have
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the following skills: 
- SQL and Python 
-Snowflake 
-Database Management Systems (for example SQLServer)
-Data transformation tools 
  • Hands-on data processing, testing, deploying and maintaining models
  • Experience in an adaptable and fast paced environment 
  • Knowledge of algorithms, ETL, data warehouses, and data structures 
  • Experience with CI/CD 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, and project management skills 
  • Feels a sense of ownership in whatever they work on
Nice to Have
  • Experience with DBT
  • Experience with Databricks (Python, SQL)
  • Experience with multi-dimensional data models
