Spylt is looking for a dynamic Finance Leader with proven experience in planning, implementation, managing and running all the finance activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. In addition, our ideal candidate will have experience in obtaining and maintaining investor relations and partnership compliance. The Finance Leader who joins our team will have to move as fast as we do, and be good at figuring out how to solve problems rather than defaulting to "no."

Key responsibilities:

• Providing leadership, direction and management of all finance and accounting duties
• Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president
• Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs
• Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
• Advising on long-term business and financial planning
• Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting
• Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to owners
• Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions
• Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Assisting CEO/President in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking
• Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information
• Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes
• Managing cash flow

Requirements:

• 5 plus years in a Head Finance role
• 10 years in the accounting/finance industry
• Prior experience in CPG is REQUIRED (bonus if beverage related)
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Experience with reporting and auditing
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Master’s Degree in Accounting preferred, and CPA certificate preferred
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
• Merger and acquisition finance experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with a start-up is a plus!
