ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment as required by the PM schedule, including lubrication and cleaning.
• Responds to machinery breakdowns in a manner to minimize downtime and perform minor repairs onplant equipment. Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand and power tools, as required.
• Root-cause problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Maintains compliance with all GMP, 5S SOP’s and Safety policies
• Completes and documents all Work Orders in a timely manner
• Uses Maintenance Software (BEAM) to enter new work orders and to record completed work orders

Experience and/or Training:

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a maintenance mechanic position
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
• Ability to move around the plant and to stand for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders to reach and repair machinery and building systems Sufficient dexterity and experience to use hand tools and power tools.
• Maintenance Mechanics are required to provide their own basic tools to perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors as required.
• Communication skills to diagnose problems and maintain working relationships with machine operators
• Organized and detail oriented
• Demonstrated professionalism

Shift- 7:00AM-3:30PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
