PPC Flexible Packaging is a premier high-quality flexible packaging manufacturer. Our Alliance, OH facility provides flexible packaging that is idea for bakery items as they help these products to maintain their freshness for a longer period of time compared to other, or no packaging. Bakery products include breads, bars, cookies, desserts (cakes, pies, etc), muffins, sweet goods (doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, etc), and tortillas. Whatever our customers are cooking up, PPC helps them showcase their creations with packaging that makes a statement. In this role you will...be responsible for orienting, packing, and ensuring converted bags meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Monitor production quality in accordance with detailed specifications as required by customer
Use counter to verify correct bag quantity
Ensure all materials listed on work orders are present during production
Record hour by hour production in a timely and accurate manner
Scrap – weigh scrap accurately and timely according to requirements
Keep work area and surrounding area clean
Must follow company guided 6s requirements
Follow and record all applicable ISO classification cleaning log activities based on requirements
Operate computer to complete orders, print labels, assess time to jobs, etc.
Assigned to multiple bag or pouch machines, etc. based on bag count and line speed, as deemed necessary by management.
Prints labels accurately and in accordance with product specifications
Maintain cuts per minute (CPM) goals
Complete written quality checks every half hour
Ensure quality of bag seals
Check print quality
Reat a tape measure and accurately measure bag dimensions to ensure they are within tolerance
Bundling and packing finished bags per customer specifications
Maintaining a supply of boxes, headers wickets etc to package job.
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
