Updike Distribution Logistics is Hiring a Pallet Sorter 450 Near Algona, WA
Essential Job FunctionsAbility to sort pallet by hand in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Ensure that criteria is met while sorting pallets
Inspect pallets while sorting to ensure criteria is met and maintain stablished rate per man hour
Ability to sort pallets by vendor and process at established rate per hour
Ensure compliance and follow all safety and UDL policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules are subject to change to meet the company needs and business requirements. Attendance at work is an essential function of this job. Teamwork and cooperation are required for proper job performance.
Basic QualificationsBroad knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
Education And/or ExperienceAdditional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:No prior experience necessary
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required for extended periods of time to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch (by bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine), maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling. The employee may be required to pull (using upper extremities to exert force in order to haul or tug objects in a sustained motion) or remove inventory from shelves, lift up to 50 pounds (group lift up to 70 pounds), raise objects from lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position-to-position, climb ladders and use forklift machines. Must wear goggles, gloves and vest when required.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work in a non heated/air-conditioned warehouse throughout all seasons and is subjected to outside environmental conditions. Workers are required to adhere to strict safety regulations.
