Job Summary:

Creative Liquid is looking for a creative, detail-oriented and outgoing individual to join us as a videographer and video editor. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience.

The videographer / editor will report to our Creative Director. This role will work with our team on all aspects of video production for a wide variety of clients. We are looking for an individual who will excel at completing assigned tasks, be flexible and work well in a collaborative environment. Job duties may change depending on the needs of each project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing videos for various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and concepts
• Capture and edit video content for various platforms
• Ensure high-quality video production from shooting to editing
• Add motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video quality
• Manage and organize video files and assets
• Maintain video equipment and troubleshoot technical issue
• Field production; specializing in lighting interviews, camera placement, and capturing b-roll. Comfortable with fulfilling multiple roles on set including videographer, audio, lighting and grip support. (About 50% of the position)
• Post-production; Offloading and logging media cards in our shared storage environment, working with our post team on video edits, with a focus on editing in Final Cut Pro X. (About 40% of the position)
• Equipment care and management; help manage our equipment room, preparing equipment reservations for video shoots, prepping and storing equipment before and after productions. (About 10% of the position)
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Proven experience in video production and editing
• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro
• Strong knowledge of post-production processes
• Camera operator experience, preferably Sony’s Cinema line of cameras (FX9, FX6, FX3)
• Proficiency with lighting interviews
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Proficiency with MacOS
• Ability to work in a team environment, share creative ideas and adjust to ever evolving projects

Must be able to work from our office in Alexandria, Virginia

Selected candidate may be required to pass a federal background investigation and be eligible to obtain a security clearance as a condition of employment.
