Our hotel is seeking an honest Front Desk Associate/Night Auditor to serve as the face of our business and will be responsible for the first impression we make. As the front desk associate you are the first person to interact with the guests, a friendly face of the property with an outstanding personality and a desire to work with people. We’re looking for a friendly, motivated and professional individual who genuinely enjoys being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience and will understand the importance of responding quickly to guests’ needs and complaints. You’ll be corresponding with guests through email, over the phone and in person. If you’ve worked in the hospitality industry before, we definitely want to talk to you. However, we’re willing to train the right applicant.
Responsibilities and Duties
Answer the phone at the front desk to respond to current and prospective guests’ needs.
Book reservations for individuals, families and groups as required.
Greet walk-in guests and guests with reservations when they arrive at the front desk.
Refer guests to local amenities and venues.
Communicate guests’ requests and complaints to the appropriate department.
Keep an accurate record of the daily cash and credit card collections.
Respond to the guests' requests in a timely manner.
Maintaining a clean, organized and professional work area at all times
Keeping the lobby/entrance area clean and presentable at all times
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma/GED required.
Has reliable transportation
3 years’ customer service experience preferred.
Ability to use a variety of computer applications.
Able to work evening and night audit shift.
Excellent people and communication (oral & written) skills.
Friendly phone manner is a must.
Friendly in person manner is a must.
Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to work independently.
Familiarity with the hospitality industry is a plus.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Willingness to maintain confidentiality.
