True Wealth has a Wealth division managing $600MM in assets for 400 clients and a Tax/Accounting division serving more than 800 clients (as of 5/25/24). Position Overview

The position is ideal for a savvy CPA with 10 years of tax/accounting experience seeking an improved quality of life outside of traditional public accounting. If you would like to move towards a value-based relationship with successful families and small business clients, desire to work a more reasonable schedule, or have an entrepreneurial interest in helping us drive growth while continually improving quality in our Tax & Accounting Division, we would like to talk to you.

The Tax Director is responsible for our Tax Division's KPIs, team development/training, and performance evaluations. They proactively manage client relationships and advise clients in selecting strategies to lessen tax burden and aid in achieving business goals. Review individual and corporate returns. Business development is not required but preferred and will be rewarded.

Candidates that fit into our culture will desire to be in a high-performing environment and have a true passion for helping clients through accounting, tax, and wealth solutions. We are not too formal. We are heavy users of efficient processes and technology (not paper). We are not resistant to change and pay close attention to details.

You also have choice in working out of our Bath Township or Hudson office locations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for our Tax Division's KPIs
• Responsible for team development/training and performance reviews
• Review returns for individual and corporate clients
• Research and consult on tax issues
• Identify and apply effective tax planning strategies for clients
• Clearly communicate tax matters to clients and Tax/Wealth team members

Requirements:

• Noticeably smart CPA with 8 years of experience
• Strong corporate tax or high net worth individual background
• Ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff and facilitate collaborative team
• Naturally optimistic attitude with extraordinary client service orientation
• Tech-forward thinker/user
