CASE Collaborative is Hiring an Occupational Therapist Near Acton, MA

Performance Responsibilities:1.Provide direct individual and small group therapy to students identified as eligible for occupational therapy services.2.Assess and maintain data on progress of all students on caseload and differentiate student goals and instruction accordingly.3.Select appropriate therapy programs and methodologies, plan, and implement therapy that matches students’ IEP goals and objectives. 4.Complete evaluation reports, including determining and administering appropriate standardized and non-standardized assessments, and present reports at Team meetings.5.Develop, implement and maintain schedules for students’ services in accordance with their IEPs’ service delivery.6.Complete progress reports for all caseload students, according to the schedule set by host school, Collaborative, and special education regulations.7.Serve as an effective consultant with parents/guardians, general education teachers, special educators, and teaching assistants regarding students’ motor and sensory needs and carryover/generalization of related skills.8.Develop and implement appropriate occupational therapy classroom accommodations, modifications, sensory diets, and assistive technology relevant to student’s needs.9.Maintain and use adaptive equipment and materials.10. Participate in Team reevaluation and annual review meetings for students on caseload and write occupational therapy components, including goals, for eligible students’ IEPs. 11. Serve as a contact to private occupational therapists and specialists, when appropriate.12. Provide communication to parents/guardians of students on caseload (e.g., parent-teacher conferences, email, telephone contact).13. Complete budget requests for the Collaborative budget; order necessary materials for instruction and assessment.14. Given training by a Registered Nurse and/or training videos, the occupational therapist will use an EpiPen and/or Vagal Nerve Stimulator with the student for whom they were prescribed.15. Attend Collaborative-wide and specific program staff meetings, as scheduled by the Program Administrator and/or Executive Director.16. Participate in host school Open House for parents/guardians, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities, as appropriate.17. Maintain the high level of confidentiality and professionalism expected of all faculty.18. Keep abreast of the latest trends, materials, research and best practices related to occupational therapy.19. Participate in appropriate professional development opportunities to increase knowledge base and skills and to maintain licensure.20. Perform other related tasks or duties at the discretion of the Program Administrator and/or Executive Director.
