Commercial Driver
Summary:
Safe daily collection of solid waste & recyclables on a specified route Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
Drive a garbage truck safely on specified routes to mechanically and manually collect solid waste
Transport solid waste to appropriate disposal sites
Courteously serve and interact with customers
Comply with all DOT requirements and corporate safety standards
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Occasional to frequent industrial lifting ; Lifting waist high
Gripping with hands
Moving at a brisk consistent pace
Occasional bending
Requirements:
Possess a valid Class A or B California Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and to follow safe operating practices
Must possess strong interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
