Anniston Country Club is Hiring an Assistant Golf Professional Near Anniston, AL
Overview
Anniston Country Club was established in 1909 and serves as one of the premier private clubs in NE Alabama. The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the GM/Head Golf Professional to develop and implement all golf related activities/programs; including merchandising, golf outings, lessons, club repair, golf shop staff management. The position requires a friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to professionally interact with members and guests.
Experience Required
- Must be interested in obtaining PGA class A Status
- Must have ability to interact with members and guests in a professional manner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills
- Must be proficient in the use of POS software, golf genius, USGA handicap system and Microsoft applications
- Experience with Golf Genius a plus
- Experience in all aspects of successful private club golf operations is a plus
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure proper registration of golfers
- Assists Golf Professional in the management and set-up of all golf tournaments
- In absence of Golf Professional, assume management responsibilities for golf shop operations
- Assists with golf shop merchandising efforts
- Maintaining cleanliness of golf shop and stock room
- Assists with monthly inventory check
- Club repair and regripping service
- Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in the golf shop
- Assists in supervision and training of golf shop staff and outside golf operations
- Daily cart check
- Cart rotation
- Practice area expectations
- New Hire Orientation – train new staff members (Golf Shop Staff & Outside Service)
- Handicap Updates
- Enforces the club’s golf rules and regulations
- Provides golf lessons and clinics with an emphasis on juniors and ladies
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional/General Manager
