The preference is for this role to be located in Utah; however, we are open to a candidate that is 100% remote in the United States. This role is a W2 role and will not consider C2C candidates.
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Engineering Operations group. In this role, you will be working alongside our DevOps and Infrastructure teams, supporting multiple technical teams with their daily project management needs, including coordinating cross-team dependencies, timelines, and staffing changes with our vendors. You will also participate in budget and expense discussion, including COGS, which you will help the group to track and navigate.
This role reports to the Director of Engineering Operations and you will be empowered to come up with ideas to improve work and expected to work independently, with support from peer and senior leaders. At Henry Schein One, our technology is evolving quickly, and we are actively working to unify and bring consistency to how our many teams and groups work. This role is expected to contribute to this work, but also help DevOps teams adopt these changes.
What You Will Do
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and constraints of multiple DevOps and Infrastructure teams while focusing on regular and timely delivery of milestones
  • Assign, track, and follow-up on various tasks while holding individuals accountable to commitments on projects of moderate complexity
  • Organize and lead project status meetings across a few concurrent projects while keeping stakeholders regularly updated by preparing and distributing progress reports
  • Resolve obstacles by proposing appropriate modifications to the project plan to minimize risks and issues
  • Perform delivery planning and execution for assigned projects by leveraging key individuals across multiple teams
  • Leverage resources and tools across multiple teams to improve capacity and efficiency for project completion
  • Support the DevOps Director in managing expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance
  • Manage and help adopt a well-defined project management process, communication channels and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices across multiple teams
  • Track and monitor team budget and expenses, including COGS, together with DevOps Director

QualificationsWhat You Will Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • 3 years of technical project management experience
  • Comfortable to work with support up to 8 teams during the same sprint
  • Great communication and collaboration skills with DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Project Managers
  • Ability to interact and influence decisions at Director level across a hybrid work environment
  • Data-driven personality that actively measures and analyses the performance of their teams
  • Proactive communicator that raises concerns or project risks promptly
  • Empathetic and authentic
  • Driven, self-motivated, and diligent
  • Optimistic and courageous
Nice to Haves
  • Hands-on technical background or solid understanding of modern DevOps concepts
The posted range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 7.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
