Greenleaf Landscaping is gearing up for the start of our busy season and we are recruiting reliable landscape Mowing Technicians. This is a great opportunity for people with experience in the field, or if you are new to landscaping work. Starting pay will be $19.00/hr and will be subject to performance increases. We expect to mow through the middle of October, where we will switch to fall clean ups (raking, mulching, etc) and during the winter snow months, we perform on call snow removal, paying a $2.00/hr differential.

These positions will be full time with a schedule that is typically Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. There will be opportunities for overtime some days, but we value work-life balance! We also value growth, and these roles will also have the potential to take on leadership and mentorship duties. We provide certification study guides, certification testing fees and license/renewal fees. We work with commercial and residential clients in Spokane and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:

• Prep Trucks & equipment, follow inventory procedures.
• Openly receive training for field needs, safety, equipment, technique, etc.
• Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking.
• Proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Address questions or concerns with the clients by forwarding them onto the manager.
• Complete all job site reports and report all sales opportunities
• Prepare for the next day’s jobs every evening, fill out time sheets daily
• Wash dirty equipment {including all mower decks} and return to storage location. Report damaged or broken equipment to mowing mechanic.
• Fill trucks, mowers, equipment, and cans with fuel additive & fuel in preparation for the next day (or as necessary)
• Strict adherence to the company's employee manual & procedures

Requirements:

• Must Be 18 years of age, or older
• Must have valid Driver's License and an insurable driving record (limited infractions and accidents)
• Reliable transportation to the shop each day, by 7am (we are near bus lines)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Stoop, stand and bend for 8 hours a day
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be on duty during extreme weather events.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance at all times.
