Job Title: Patron Services Associate

Hours: Tuesdays 3-7pm, Thursdays 10-4pm, Saturdays 9-2pm, 15 hrs/week Salary: $12.00/hr

Immediate Supervisor: Library Coordinator

Summary:

The Patron Services Associate works at service desks throughout the Library: greets patrons, helps them find materials, checks items in and out, and answers questions in a friendly and efficient manner. The Associate also helps patrons on the public computers and with other electronic devices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Helping patrons find materials, including finding and downloading eBooks; checking items in and out at the service desks; answering questions using the Library collections and databases.

-Copy and scan papers on the copy machine; print from the patron PCs, laptops, and personal devices; operating the fax machine and microfilm reader.

-Shelving books and other items; calling patrons when their items arrive.

-Monitoring of the Youth Services area as needed and assisting the Youth Services Coordinator.

-Other duties as assigned by the Library Coordinator.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma and the ability to demonstrate a high competency with computers and various devices, Microsoft Office, and the internet.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Weekends as needed
