Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Solution Engineer that will work on a specific project dealing with an exit plan for a data center. This job is located in Chicago, Illinois.
Duties:
- Design on-prem infrastructure applications
- Understand everything an application needs to run on-prem from infrastructure perspective, putting it in design, making sure it’s compliant with security on paper, then coordinating with infrastructure teams to get it built out
- Identify and assess what is still needed
- Design and create inputs and security on proposal
- Collaborate with engineers for specific domains
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 5 years of experience
- PM background
- Architecture background in applications and/or infrastructure
- Experience with on-prem, not cloud
- Strong communication skills
- Willing and capable to present to people
- Understanding of web servers, application servers, messaging queues, and the related infrastructure
