BrightStar Care is Hiring a Sr. Manager, HRIS Near Gurnee, IL

BrightStar Care, the nation’s leading personal home care and medical staffing is growing! We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Sr. Manager, HRIS to take ownership of our ADP Workforce Now system. You will be the subject matter expert for the HRIS, including but not limited to security administration, business process design, compensation setup, benefits administration, end user experience and reporting and analytics.

This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within the HRIS to support the administrators of compensation programs, annual performance reviews, benefits administration and open enrollment, payroll, and reporting efforts. This is an individual contributor role, but you will have ownership over and lead the HRIS, projects, and resources for the organization.

**This is a remote role and can be located anywhere in the continental United States**

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Administrator: Super User of HRIS and all other software utilized by the Human Resources Department, primarily ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Prepares supporting technical documents, and training manuals and materials for HR software, including a variety of versions depending on the needs of the end users.
  • Serves as a technical partner with system and software implementations.
  • Analyzes and improves on systematic processes to support Human Resources Department with day-to-day functions
  • Audits HRIS and other HR systems/software as needed for data integrity, partnering with the HR team when needed. Provides technical support for the departments’ HR systems including form maintenance, and user maintenance. 
  • Responsible for end of year maintenance in HRIS including roll overs, calendars, placement management, and other utilities as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison between the human resources department and the Information Technology department.
  • Develop, test, and implement new integrations, interfaces, and upgrades of HR systems in conjunction with vendors and IT.
  • Define, evaluate, and configure HR systems/tools together with HR and non-HR groups to ensure efficiency in HR's processes and data integrity across all HR systems.
  • Develop and maintain user guides and conduct end user trainings.
  • Responsible for production and non-production HRIS support of researching, recommending, and resolving system problems.
  • Responsible for developing and performing ongoing scheduled activities of conducting system and user audits and upgrades.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of HR reports and analytics for all levels of management.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law
  • Identify best practices, services, and tools in the industry to continually evolve our HR process and produce efficiencies
  • Play a role in the due diligence process and comprehensive review of all compensation and benefit plans for new ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Communicate actively with HR team, Operations, and Finance and other departments as required, to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
  • Provide reports as necessary for leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred
  • At least 5 years' HRIS experience required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information 
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively 
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a timely manner 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws

WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • This role is a remote role.
  • Travel requirement: 10% as needed to support the successful operation of the business.
